How long are the trips?
Trips are four days and three nights. Guests are picked up at 3:00pm on the day of arrival. Fishing commences shortly after dinner on the first day. The next two days are eight to ten hours of guided fishing. On departure days we fish the morning bite until about 10:00 am. When we arrive back at the lodge where breakfast is waiting, the fish are packed up and departure is around noon.
What time of the year do you fish in Kyuquot Sound?
Our fishing time in Kyuquot is relatively short, June 01 to September 15. We are there through the best Halibut time, best Chinook and the best light tackle Coho time. The season starts off flying with good catches of large mature Chinooks and Halibut. The fishing action stays constant for the whole time in Kyuquot. In late August the Coho that are eight to twelve pounds, and the Chinook are the largest of the season.
How many fish can we expect to take home?
The limits in our area allow anglers to retain 8 Salmon and 3 Halibut per trip. 4 Salmon can be Chinook and the rest Hatchery Coho, Pinks, Chum or Sockeye. Most guests take home limits of Chinook and Halibut and some of the other 4 available fish. Although we catch thousands of Coho only about 15 percent are Hatchery keepers. We primarily target large Chinook and Halibut and the other species are a by catch while fishing for Chinook.
What kinds of food do we serve?
Every dinner is different. We use a rotating menu that consists of Hams, Roasts, Steak and Seafood's. Seafood is served with every meal but never as a main entrée. Breakfast is toast and cereal and fresh fruits. Packed lunches and eaten while out fishing. When you arrive back at the ship soup and fresh bread is always waiting. While we do have a semi fixed menu it is easy for us to change to suite the needs of the groups on board. On the last day before you leave we have a large brunch that includes; bacon, eggs, sausages, pancakes and hash browns. All beverages for the trip are supplied except for alcohol.
How many guests do you fish per boat?

All of the boats are fitted for offshore fishing with the latest in GPS and Sonar equipment. The boats are all equipped with Scotty down riggers and Shimano Rod and Reels.
What do we need to bring?
Here is a list of the things you need to bring:
- Large fish coolers. We have styro-foam coolers on board but most guests prefer to bring their own igloo style coolers.
- We have raingear but over the years we have found that guests prefer their own gear. If you don't have raingear don't go buy it. We have enough sets for everyone.
- Personal toiletries.
- Sunscreen hats and sun glasses. Long days on the water can be very demanding and the eyes and skin. Warm clothing is highly recommended, even though summer sun can be warm, the weather can change and require warm clothing.
- Motion sickness prevention medicine. Although most people are not affected by sea conditions, it is not worth the chance of it ruining your fishing trip. Purchase "the patch" also known as Transderm V or Dramamine. Gravel works but is not as effective.
- Personal alcoholic beverages. We do provide basic mixes and pop on board. Any exotic drink ingredients should be brought with you. Guests are required to bring their own alcoholic beverages. We do not sell alcohol on board and the village is a dry community. If you are flying and would like us to buy and store your alcohol beverages on board we are more than happy to do this for you. If you are flying in from the States, and two planes are involved, be sure to split the alcohol between aircraft's, we have heard of incidents where one plane clears customs and takes off, then the last plane is checked with over their limit of import liquor and it was seized.
